What’s happening in January?

Christmas may be over but London still has plenty of good cheer on offer over the coming weeks. Indulge yourself between now and 11th February with a session at the Southbank Centre’s Finish Rooftop Sauna, followed by winter warmers at the Rooftop Bar. Or for an alternative rooftop experience, head to Soho’s Ham Yard hotel from 17th January to 17th February, where a pop-up bar is serving Sipsmith gin cocktails warmed with a red-hot poker!

See the city transformed at night by two spectacular family-friendly light festivals showcasing London’s iconic architecture. Breathtaking sculptures and installations will illuminate the skyline at Canary Wharf Winter Lights from 16th to 27th January, while Lumiere London takes place in locations across the capital from 18th to 21st January.

If you’d rather be indoors, browse and buy from more than eighty specialist dealers at the London Art Antiques & Interiors Fair at ExCel London, from 12th to 14th January, or check out thrilling stunts from the movies performed at Fast and Furious Live, taking place at the O2 arena from 19th to 21st January. Also at the O2, on 10th and 11th February Strictly Come Dancing fans can experience the show live on tour as it celebrates ten star-spangled years.

There’s a whole host of theatre, comedy and music performances to choose from to brighten up winter evenings. Catch Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s Fan at the Vaudeville from 12th January to 7th April, Sarah Pascoe at Wyndhams Theatre from 15th to 20th January, or Franz Ferdinand at the O2 on 15th February.
