Covent Garden Christmas Switch ON
When – 12th November
Where – The Christmas lights will turn on from 5.30 on Tuesday 12th November.
You can expect the return of the 40 magnificent mistletoe chandeliers - each ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 meters in size, adorned with almost 700 glistening berries. Over 320 meters of garlands unite the chandeliers, with around 100,000 pea lights suspended within the historic Market Building. Outside, the world-famous Piazza will once again host London’s biggest hand-picked Christmas tree.

Aladdin and the feast of Wonders

A fully immersive, grown-up pantomime that rolls a five-course gastronomic banquet and party into one hedonistic night out. Following the sell-out success of Beauty and The Feast, this is another thrilling theatrical adult pantomime, inspired by Aladdin and the Genie. In this unexpected reimagining, the well-known classic tale has been turned on its head, so hop on a magic carpet and get lost on a sensory journey to a far-away marketplace.
Watch the raucous and grown-up reimagining of Aladdin unravel, journey through Scrubbers Lane and the widow’s launderette, via way of a sumptuous banquet in the Sultan’s Palace before ending the night in a street party with plenty of tunes to dance the night away to.
Jimmy’s Lodge and Igloos

Jimmy's Lodge is back, bigger and better than ever in their central London location bringing their version of the Alps to the snowy peaks of the Southbank.
Jimmy and his team are creating the ultimate cosy escape from the winter cold. Whether it's an evening of private dining with close friends in their private (and heated) igloos (for up to 10 people, from £250), or tucking into a festive set menu of winter favourites on the 1st floor rooftop ski-chalet chic lodge restaurant - The Refuge - complete with fire pit and heated bar area serving up a fantastic array of hot toddies, festive cocktails and dishes such as fondue and wild boar. Open Monday to Sunday, 11am to 11pm.

A multi-sensory exploration of light and sound, in collaboration with Fondation Cartier Pour L’art Contemporain, Paris.mThe Store X The Vinyl Factory presents this new exhibition featuring three large-scale installations by the multi-disciplinary collective UVA – Our Time, The Great Animal Orchestra and Vanishing Point. Whether in the Renaissance-inspired lasers of Vanishing Point, the pendulous Our Time, with new music from Mira Calix, or Bernie Krause’s Great Animal Orchestra, built around his astonishing archive of field recordings from the natural world, the exhibition is a multi-sensory exploration of light and sound.
